Nachavule comes as a fresh wisp of gentle breeze among the muddle of mindless love stories. The narration of this coming of age film is innovative. The fresh faces in the film are refreshing in their roles.

The Synopsis

Lava Kumar (Tanish) has just completed his intermediate course and always thinks that he can have as many girl friends as he wants. He loves to play pranks. Lava Kumar’s mother (Raksha) is a kind and patient lady, while his father (Kasi Viswanadh) is impatient and unyielding.
Lava Kumar after many failures realizes that he should concentrate on one girl only. An opportunity arises where he helps out a person (Kamesh) and becomes friendly with his daughter Anu (Madhavi Lata) who works part time in a coffee shop.

Anu agrees to be the girl friend of Lava Kumar, but she stipulates some dos and don’ts. Though Lava Kumar violates her conditions, she continues to focus her love on him.
When Lava Kumar starts flirting with other girls, Anu is crestfallen. They appear to be slowly drifting apart. All of a sudden, Lava Kumar’s mother dies succumbing to illness.
The loss of mother changes Lava Kumar completely and the rest of the story deals with how he and Anu unite again.

The Performances

Handsome Tanish has plenty of ease portraying a typical adolescent character. He performed with confidence and conviction. He looks like having a long innings.
Beautiful Madhavi Lata has verve and nerve. She assayed her role with aplomb. She comes good while emoting and has successfully gone under the skin of the chararacter she is playing. She is efficient and effective in her portrayal. She has sufficient talent and potential to be there on the silver screen for meatier roles.

Kasi Vishwanath, Raksha and Kamesh excelled in the roles of parents. All others are more than adequate in their author-backed roles.

The Techniques

Ravi Babu has come out shining like a star with this film. His story is meaningful, his treatment is innovative, particularly the voice-over episode, his narration is diligent and his presentation is superb. His handling of relationships is noteworthy. The humour is inherent and unleashed with wit and satire. The dialogues are natural, sharp and succinct.
Cinematography is truly amazing with visuals enhancing the narration. Editing and audiography are good. Music is worthy of enjoyment with a couple of songs sounding like chart-toppers. The lyrics demand appreciative attention.

The Verdict

An enthralling saga of youthful exuberance and indulgence with a sensitive theme and sensible narration, the film Nachavule is eminently watchable for its very freshness.
