Director B Gopal comes up with a new film after a gap. This time, Gopal tries his hand at a youthful and romantic entertainer. He succeeds to a large extent with the first half running in an entertaining manner. The second half however is full of the B Gopal touch. Producer MS Raju continues with his Sankranthi sentiment and seems to have got it right this time. His film Vaana that hit the screens last Sankranthi bombed at the box office.

Story:

The story is a triangular love story with the hero Jagarlamudi Krishnakanth (Ram) caught between the two heroines. The blame is all his as it is his act of fooling Manju (Sheela) that lands him in a soup.

Krish is alike any other young boy of his age. He fails to complete graduation. He along with his close friend Sunil is day dreaming of making it big some day. Keish stays at his brother Naresh’s house. Jhansi is Naresh’s wife and she is all the time scolding Krish for being a good for nothing fellow.

Krish has no plans to work hard but wants to make a girl fall in love with him. The girl has to be rich and should be on her way to the United States.

Krish finds such a girl when he comes across Manju. She has just got a visa to go to the US. Krish follows her and makes friends with her. Manju also begins liking him and is about to tell him that she loves him.

As fate would have it, Meenakshi (Hansika Motwani) enters the scene at exactly this time. Krish’s hopes of going to the US come crashing. Krish realizes that he is now in love with Meenakhsi.

Krish is now caught in a love triangle – he is in love with Meenakshi while Manju is in love with him. Added to this is a faction backdrop. Mukesh Rushi and Pradeep Rawat are bitter political rivals and are at each other throat for bagging ministership.

Krish learns that Mukesh Rushi is after Meenashi and that her life is in danger. Manju is after Krish and she wants to marry him. Her father is none other than the dreaded factionsit Mukesh Rushi.

The rest of the story is what happens to the love of Manju, Krish and Meenakshi and also the bitter rivalry between Mukesh and Pradeep.

Performance:

Ram caries the entire first half on his shoulders. He is good and also dances very well. His action scenes are also impressive. Ram is now firmly set on becoming a mass hero.

Hansika Motwani and Sheela are the two leading ladies and they try to outdo each other in oozing glamour. Both of them are good and come up with impressive performances. Sunil evokes laugher with his comedy.

The rest of the star cast like Jhansi, Mukesh Rushi, Pradeep Rawat, Naresh and others are adequate in their roles.

Music by Chakry is above average and he has come up with fast beats for the song sequences. Cinematography is also good.

The film is quite lively in the first half but the second half is a bit heavy with faction rivalry and Sumos.

Maska is an above average entertainer.
